As winter settles over the Wharfe Valley and the first twinkle of Christmas lights begins to appear, the historic market town of Otley prepares for one of its most cherished traditions.

On Sunday 6th December 2026, the streets will once again come alive with the sights, sounds and spirit of a Victorian Christmas. Market stalls will fill the town centre, festive music will drift through the streets, and visitors young and old will gather to celebrate the season together.

From the magnificent Victorian Parade and traditional steam train, to school choirs, stilt walkers, jugglers, entertainers and fairground attractions, the Otley Victorian Fayre offers a magical day for the whole family.

At the heart of the celebration are the local schools, whose pupils perform throughout the day and compete for the much-loved Best Dressed School Award, continuing a tradition that has delighted generations of visitors.
